Chinese Embassy propaganda films ‘are misleading the world’

Australian Uyghur Association Secretary Bahtiyar Bora says the footage shown in bizarre propaganda films about Xinjiang and the treatment of the Uyghur population “is totally false”.

The Chinese Embassy in Canberra held a strange press conference on Wednesday during which several chilling films were played, and keynote speakers downplayed reports of exploitation of the Uyghurs.

Mr. Bora commented on the films, saying, “all is misleading the world, and all are lying.

He said the people are shown dancing and singing “had no other choice … but real life is totally different.”

He also detailed for Sky News the suffering his own family experienced at the hands of Chinese officials.
