‘Frenzy of bookings’ follows announcement of trans-Tasman travel bubble
Tourism New Zealand General Manager Australia Andrew Waddel says the announcement of the trans-Tasman travel bubble has led to a “”bit of a frenzy of bookings”” over the past 24 hours.
Mr. Waddel told Sky News it is estimated “the return will be about $1 billion by the end of 2021, and that goes some way to filling for New Zealand a gap of $12.9 billion”.
“”So connecting two nations is not just an economic benefit, but we’re’ going to see benefit flow into the communities with job creation and that spirit of connecting New Zealand and Australia.”
