Italy to reopen with EU-wide ‘travel pass’

Italy is set to welcome back foreign visitors under new plans to introduce a travel pass which the government will adopt into a European Union-wide version.

Travellers will be allowed to enter without quarantine but will need to prove they have been vaccinated, tested negative, or recently recovered from the virus.

The prime minister says Italy is ready to welcome back the world and the pass is set to be introduced this month.
