Tech Guide Editor Stephen Fenech says the “biggest expectation” ahead of ‘Spring Loaded’ – Apple’s first event of the year – is the unveiling of a new range of iPads.
Mr Fenech told Sky News the iPad Pro will have a major upgrade with a mini LED backlight making the display a lot brighter and sharper.
“The other big improvement to the iPad of course will be the latest processor, so performance wise it’s going to get a bit of a jump as well,” he said.
“But on the iPad Pro … you’re going to also see 5G connectivity, we’ve had 4G all this time, iPhone 12 was Apple’s first 5G product late last year and now that’s going to carry over to the iPad range as well”.
Mr Fenech said updated entry level iPads and a design refresh for the iPad Mini are also expected.
The ‘Spring Loaded’ event will take place early Wednesday morning at 3am Sydney time.
