We have ‘every right to be concerned’ if virus gets into Australia from Papua New Guinea

Deputy Vice-Chancellor International from the University of Melbourne, Michael Wesley, says “we have every right to be concerned” if COVID-19 is brought to Australia from Papua New Guinea.

“We have every right to be very concerned about North Queensland, particularly Indigenous populations in North Queensland who could also be exposed to the virus,” Mr. Wesley told Sky News.

“The Delta variant is well and truly on the rampage through our region, and Australia should really be thinking of what it can do to try and help our neighbors to deal with this very distressing situation.”
